Akasa TIM cleaning Solution
April 9, 2009 — RoboJoI’ve read a lot of positive reviews of this product and yesterday after buying some, I put it to use.
I removed the temporary stock cooler from my CPU to replace it with something better, of course in the past I would have been left with a residue from the thermal paste or pad.
After using an old store loyalty card to remove the bulk of the remaining goo, I applied a small amount of the cleaning solution using the corner of a microfibre cloth.
The instructions advise to leave the cleaner on for 1-2 minutes, but even with the initial application it took some of the thermal material away.
2 minutes later I cleaned the remainder off leaving the top of the CPU like new, and smelling lemony fresh (an added bonus of the product being citrus based)
If you’re the sort of person who builds or maintains your own or friends PC’s a bottle of this is a wonderful addition to your toolkit, and as such a tiny amount is used, the bottle should last a very long time.
